ADAPT offers an innovative 18-week treatment program to adult men and women who have difficulty regulating anger or who have been emotionally, physically or sexually abusive to a spouse, partner, sibling, child or parent. ADAPT utilizes a compassionate approach to family violence intervention. Families experiencing domestic violence may face great shame, guilt and a variety of symptoms and problems related to conflict and hurt feelings. If you have been charged as an offender or wish to pursue services as a client of the ADAPT program, we will work hard to help you learn new relationship and emotional regulation skills to prevent future abuse whether past episodes of abuse were intentional or not. We expect all program staff, volunteers and participants to achieve and maintain the highest standards of safety for self and others.
